Molly Lipson is a freelance writer, editor and filmmaker from London, UK.

She is committed to engaging in complex socio-political issues in ways that are accessible, engaging and intriguing to a wide audience. Her work is infused by her values of liberation for all those oppressed by systemic injustice, equality beyond platitudes and an emphasis on decolonisation, anti-fascism and abolition. Her writing has been published in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Dazed, VICE, Vox, Insider, The Face and more. She was the script consultant on the short film FOR PEOPLE IN TROUBLE, written and directed by Alex Lawther, starring Emma D’Arcy and Archie Madekwe, produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The film premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2023. She wrote and directed her debut short film NO STRINGS in 2024, which premiered at British Shorts Berlin. Molly was previously the Editorial Steward for In Practice, a new editorial platform from Healing Justice Ldn, which publishes creative explorations of healing and health justice, liberation from harm and violence, and community care.

She is the founder and Managing Editor of Short Stuff, a magazine dedicated to coverage of short film.
